The SURFIT model was developed by combining years of experience in elite sport with a clear understanding of the demands required of everyday to advanced surfers
Meet Ryan Bailey, a keen surfer originally from the cold waters of Tasmania who started SURFIT in 2023
Ryan has been in the strength and conditioning industry for 15+ years working with novice to elite level athletes from all sports, but, his true passionate is to help surfers.
He holds a Masters Degree in Strength and Conditioning and is the manager of the Surf Academy at URBNSURF Sydney

Designed for surfers of all levels your will learn the SURFIT training model, development fundamental movement patterns and use progressive resistance exercises to support surf performance.
Join the crew for the first 4 Thursday's in May at 6:00 pm for an hour training session in the BaiMed High Performance Centre (level 1/147 The Avenue, Figtree NSW 2525).

Make every wave count with SURFIT's Private Training!
Private training is for surfers that prefer to training 1 on 1 or in a small group setting. Sessions are tailored to the individual to ensure your on track with your goals in and out of the water.
Sessions go for 45 minutes and include program to take away and follow. This can be delivered at your home or out of the BaiMed High Performance Centre (level 1/147 The Avenue, Figtree NSW 2525).

8 week introductory program perfect for grommets or surfers with a little training experience.
This entry level program starts with the basics, requires little equipment and is quick/easy to follow along from home!

12 week of advanced programming for surfers who have completed BASE or have a bit of training under their belt.
This advanced training program requires access to some gym equipment and challenges you through 3 specific phases.

A STAPLE FOR EVERY SURFER
Structured strength and power training for surfers are use to increase strength across a large range of motion, improving reactivity + landing mechanics and increasing upper and lower body strength and power. No two sessions are the same to ensure you progress and learn new exercises and loading schemes.
GET OUT THE BACK AND INTO WAVES EARLY
Nothing worse than not feeling “paddle fit” after a period of no wave. SURFIT’s land and pool based training sessions keep things ticking over until your next surf. Designed to get the heart rate up, use surf relatable exercises and ensure you flying out the back during your next surf.
LUBE UP THE JOINTS
Exercises to improve our movement in the water. Learn a number of exercises that you can do as little as 10 minutes per day to fell good, improve flexibility and kickstart each surf. Movements are targeted to specific area that surfers need - spine, hips, shoulders and ankles.
STIFF BACK AND NECK - SLOW TO YOUR FEET?
Being flexible takes consistency and time. Flexibility exercises are used improving area’s typically tight in surfers, assist with recovery and offer a way to switch off from your day to day. Apply these at home while you park up and watch your favourite surf movie.
